Scientific field: surface electronic properties of semiconductors, metals and organic thin films. Atomic geometry and electronic structure of interfaces. Magnetic, optical and electronic properties of layered media. Use of synchrotron radiation for structural and spectroscopic studies: photoemission, optical absorption, NEXAFS, reflectivity. Laboratory techniques of sample preparation and growth, spectroscopic characterization including photoemission (XPS, UPS), electron energy loss (EELS), Auger, Metastable deexcitation spectroscopy.
