Research scientist at CNR - IOM (Trieste). Scientific Head of the beamline BACH. Extensive experience in advanced EUV-soft x-ray spectroscopy techniques with synchrotron radiation for the characterisation of the electronic, structure, dynamical, magnetic and physical-chemical properties of materials in surface and interface science.

Research interests include synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional materials, such as graphene, nanoribbons, nanographene and 2D materials and hybrid heterostructures, transition metal dichalcogenides, reactivity at interfaces and surfaces and on-surface processes.

Broad experience in the technical management, maintenance, operation and development of state-of-the art instrumentation and ultra-high vacuum end stations, technical and scientific support to external users.

She is member of the panel of external experts of the Canadian Light source, member of the pool of proposal reviewers of the Advanced Light Source, Project Coordinator of a Bilateral project, Participant to Horizon 2020 EU funded projects and other National projects, Expert evaluator for the Italian Ministry of Research, Access Provider for NFFA-Europe . She has been unit coordinator of a FIRB project and referee for ACS, APS, Elsevier, Wiley.

Coauthor of more than 150 peer-reviewed publications.
